Leeds is Buzzing Despite Virus Restrictions
Leeds is an area hit hard by increased lockdown restrictions, but this hasn’t prevented Portable Offices’ depot from responding promptly to the huge demand for portable buildings.
Manager, Becky Scholefield commented: “West Yorkshire has never really benefited from the release of the restrictions, as we continued to be in local lockdowns – we were put into Tier 2, then Tier 3 and now back into Lockdown #2 with the rest of the country. Hopefully, by Leeds’ next review we will be starting to see a further return to normality and we can put this difficult year behind us.”
With so many companies keen to prepare for a return to work with Covid precautions in-place, portable buildings provide an ideal solution to providing extra space, whether that is in canteens, kitchens, washrooms or office spaces. This has resulted in a whirlwind of orders.
In addition, doctors’ surgeries and hospitals have had to segregate patients in an effort to combat cross-contamination and these users have also benefitted from the flexibility of portable units.
Becky said: “We have had a variety of contracts from Michelin star restaurants, hotels looking for additional space, food production operations to car dealerships and doctors’ surgeries.
“Several staff have had to isolate, office staff have been able to work from home but yard staff have been unable to work, but again people have stepped up when they’ve had to and the customer service hasn’t slipped, in fact, we’re having some of the best Trustpilot reviews we’ve ever had.”
“I would like to extend my thanks to our team for how well they have coped over the last few months – working incredibly hard. We will enter 2021 with a renewed vigour, here to help businesses and the public sector with their building and operational challenges.”
