Derby Scores Big with Football Clubs and Beyond…

The team at Portable Offices’ Derby Depot has kicked off 2025 in full force, delivering high-quality portable building solutions across a diverse range of industries. From supporting top football clubs to creating unique spaces for businesses and community projects, the depot continues to showcase the flexibility, adaptability, and reliability of modular buildings.

Supporting Football Clubs: A Winning Streak
Derby Depot has continued its strong partnerships with football clubs, working closely with both Ipswich Town Football Club and Stoke City Football Club.

At Ipswich Town FC, the team recently provided a conference room and a family room for the club’s academy players. These new additions complement the state-of-the-art classroom and office space previously installed at their training ground last year, ensuring young players have the best possible facilities for both education and personal development.

Meanwhile, Derby Depot was back at Stoke City FC, delivering further facilities for the women’s academy, helping to enhance the club’s infrastructure as it continues to grow.

Depot Manager Bob Davies commented: “Our contracts have been full-on again with further orders from existing clients and some exciting new prospects.”

Expanding Across Key Sectors
Beyond sports, Derby Depot has been busy supplying portable buildings to a variety of sectors, demonstrating their versatility in meeting a wide range of business needs.

A construction firm working with Network Rail has ordered a large modular complex and several units to provide canteen and welfare facilities for staff working in rail depots across East Anglia and the South East. These facilities will ensure that railway staff have comfortable, practical spaces to take breaks and carry out their work effectively.

At Keystone Homes, a linked and stacked complex of portable buildings has been supplied to support staff at a wedding venue, providing office and welfare facilities to keep operations running smoothly.

A major tyre manufacturer also turned to Derby Depot for 11 modular units to serve as offices and canteen spaces during factory upgrades. These facilities will allow the company to maintain productivity while improving their existing site.

A Unique Place of Worship in Walsall
One of the most interesting and unique projects in the works is a portable building designed as a place of worship in Walsall. This special structure will be clad in wood and feature porthole-style windows, mirroring the appearance of an Ark.

The project has been years in the making but is now ready to set sail! This is a perfect example of how modular buildings can be tailored to fit highly specific design needs, offering creative, functional solutions for a variety of purposes.

A Strong Start to 2025
Reflecting on the depot’s success so far this year, Bob Davies added: “Our team has been pulling out all the stops to assist our clients in bringing their contracts to fruition. I am delighted with our start to 2025.”

With continued growth, exciting projects, and a reputation for delivering high-quality, adaptable building solutions, Derby Depot is set for another strong and productive year.
