Derby Cleared for Take-Off:
Across Multiple Sectors…
Derby Depot has been soaring this autumn – quite literally – with the delivery of two specialist units for Warwickshire Air Ambulance at Coventry Airport.
The buildings now provide dedicated storage and training facilities, supporting the vital work of air ambulance crews and their support teams.
Depot Manager Bob Davies captured the moment perfectly:
“We are now ‘high flyers’ in every sense of the word!”
A Season of Standout Deliveries
It’s been a busy and varied period for the Derby team, delivering bespoke solutions across a wide range of sectors.
Healthcare & Pharmacy
- An 8 x 8 unit delivered to a Coventry pharmacy, creating new consultancy and vaccination spaces during an internal refurbishment programme.
Agriculture & Food Production
- Two major potato businesses received large, tailored units:
- One fitted out as a laboratory and testing facility
- One providing a full welfare suite, including toilets, offices and storage
Transport & Training
- A transport training company benefited from a complete welfare and training solution, incorporating offices and dedicated training rooms.
Education & Specialist Learning
Derby continued its strong track record in education with several key projects:
- Additional classroom accommodation for children with complex needs at Emscote School, delivered as part of a strategic trial ahead of future expansion
- Bespoke units supplied to support a nursery refurbishment
- Delivery of specialist accommodation for a dedicated education facility
Supporting the Wider Business
The Derby team also played a vital role in supporting a major contract for the Luton office, supplying refurbished units at scale.
This collaborative effort significantly reduced Derby’s available stock – a clear demonstration of the depot’s capacity, flexibility and teamwork.
Bob Davies added:
“We have continued to operate on a busy schedule across a raft of different industries.”
Growing the Team
To support continued growth and demand, Derby has welcomed new additions to the team.
New Starter: Lorna Boundy
Lorna Boundy joins as Customer Account Manager – Operations, where she will play a key role in coordinating contracts, logistics and overall customer experience.
Apprenticeship Investment
The yard team has also expanded with the arrival of Normunds Neimanis, Apprentice Electrician — reinforcing Derby’s commitment to developing future skills in-house.
Bob commented:
“I am delighted to welcome our new members to the team and wish them every success.”
