Luton Leads the Way:
From Premier Sport to Inspired Innovation

As summer draws to a close and September sets in, Portable Offices’ Luton depot rounds off a standout season that saw the team deliver excellence across an inspiring range of projects — from professional football clubs and performance spaces to sustainability and start-up ventures.

Depot Manager Luke Foster-Poole reflected:

“This summer has been one of the most diverse and rewarding we’ve had. The team has continued to build on our strong client base while also breaking new ground with exciting, forward-thinking partnerships.”

A Summer of Sport

From youth academies to the upper echelons of the footballing world, Luton depot has continued its run of success with elite sports facilities.

Among the highlights, a stunning new Signature Collection building was delivered for a high-profile football club owner – combining luxury, performance and practical innovation in one refined space.

Account Manager Aaron Smith-Holding managed the project:

“The detail was everything – this was a flagship unit, with premium interiors, advanced tech and bespoke finishes. A real statement piece.”

Shortly after, Luton delivered another major sports contract – this time for a Women’s Super League club, supplying a commercial and media suite to support the growing visibility and professionalism of the women’s game.

And it wasn’t just football making headlines. The depot worked with Swing Zone Golf to develop a concept building for a high-tech simulator training centre, which we’re sure will be extremely popular this month with the Ryder Cup later this month, where Team Europe take on Team USA on the Black Course at Bethpage State Park, New York.

Roy Hatley, Southern Regional Sales, explained:

“This was a brilliant opportunity to support a future-facing idea. The golf simulator centre combines sport, tech, and modular efficiency – and it’s only the beginning.”

Supporting Growth and Expansion

Elsewhere, the team completed a range of commercial projects – including a five-bay modular sales and office suite for Centercomms, and a fast-turnaround L-shaped refurbished building for a waste collection firm in Milton Keynes following a depot merger.

Sales Manager James Element said:

“The client visited our Derby depot to explore available stock and selected a ready-to-go solution. From site visit to installation took just two weeks – a great example of our flexibility in action.”

Lights, Camera, Cabins!

Matt Calloway, with his unmatched knowledge of the film and TV sector, was once again at the heart of multiple studio projects – including welfare facilities for Bray Studios and portable infrastructure for the latest BBC production of Strictly Come Dancing.

He also delivered a temporary classroom village for Reading Blue Coat School, supporting music and performing arts while permanent redevelopment takes place.

Another notable project came from SUEZ Recycling & Recovery, where a newly installed gatehouse is now in operation.

Relationships That Deliver

Across all sectors, Luton’s reputation for responsiveness, reliability and creative problem-solving continues to open doors. Whether supporting returning clients or welcoming new partnerships, the team consistently delivers both quality and care.

Luke summarised:

“This depot round-up reflects the strength of our people, our product and our partnerships. From prestige to practicality – we’ve covered it all this summer.”
