That’s why we’re delighted to celebrate a significant milestone for Liam Ryde, who has successfully completed his Level 3 Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship, marking an important step in his career journey.
Based at our Derby Depot, Liam has grown and developed throughout his apprenticeship, building the skills, knowledge and experience required to become a Qualified Electrician. His achievement reflects not only the successful completion of a nationally recognised qualification, but also the commitment, determination and hard work he has demonstrated throughout the journey.
While the qualification provides formal recognition of Liam’s achievement, the real story is about personal growth and progression. Apprenticeships require individuals to balance learning, practical experience and workplace responsibilities over an extended period, continually developing their abilities and confidence along the way.
Throughout his time with Portable Offices, Liam has embraced the opportunity to learn, challenge himself and develop his career within the business. His success demonstrates the value of combining hands-on experience with structured learning and highlights what can be achieved when ambition is matched with dedication and support.

“This apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real jobs while studying for recognised qualifications. During my training I developed a strong understanding of electrical regulations, fault finding, inspection and testing and installation of electrical systems. I feel proud that Portable Offices have supported my journey by giving me this opportunity to enhance my knowledge, understanding and skills. I look forward to working with the team on future projects and applying my skill set.”
Liam’s development has been supported by colleagues across the business, particularly at our Derby Depot, where he has continued to grow in confidence and capability while contributing to the success of the team.
