Bristol Office Galloping Ahead into 2022

Our Bristol Team has been keeping busy with a range of contracts – from sales and marketing suites for house builders, a disaster response for a school and on-going client expansions and most recently a new prestigious office space for McPherson Horse Racing in the Cotswolds.

Most contracts are challenging in one form or another, but in the autumn, Bristol office was at the forefront of a disaster relief effort for a Wiltshire School that was badly damaged by a fire and this called for an incredibly fast turnround together with resolving some difficult access issues.

Woodborough Primary School in Wiltshire suffered severe damage in the oldest part of its buildings, which date back to the Victorian era. The blaze devastated classrooms, toilets and the staff room and resulted in the closure of the school for a week while the other buildings were checked for safety.

Kate Kirk, Manager of Portable Offices’ Bristol office headed the response. She commented: “We pride ourselves on keeping a number of units in a state of readiness which proved advantageous in this instance.

“The enquiry came to us on Friday 24th September with the order being placed by the client on Friday October 1st and delivered to site on Friday October 8th and handover a week later on the 15th. It was a superb result for the school, enabling a full education programme to be reintroduced within an optimum timeframe.”

The portable buildings, which provide accommodation for two classrooms, a staff room, toilets and washroom, are on hire for six months while the devastated buildings are rebuilt.

The team were complimented on their incredible response by the client who was astounded by the expertise of the site team in overcoming the challenging access issues.

Bristol office has maintained a busy schedule and is also in the process of completing a three bay modular building for SAM Cases – a producer of protective casings for bespoke purposes such as camera and travel cases – who is looking to expand its production capabilities which resulted in the need for a purpose-built, state-of-the-art office building.

Next month will see the installation of a prestigious office space for McPherson Horse Racing in the Cotswolds. This area will provide a comfortable space for owners and trainers to discuss their horse’s merits and performance.
