Springing into the new season

As the new season takes off, Sandycroft operation prepares for an influx of new classroom orders from new clients and repeat business from Loreto College which is expanding its teaching space further with additional double classroom accommodation.

Again, the college’s commitment to the preservation of its ancient oak and horse chestnut trees will be paramount to the Portable Offices’ team tasked with avoiding any damage to the arboreal splendour that surrounds the college.

As a result, the company will once again situate the portable classrooms on eco-pads to avoid damaging the tree roots during the foundation process and to limit the environmental impact of the modular building on the environment.

Power station decommissioning has resulted in orders for additional office space for contractors handling this sensitive project.

The upturn in the economic climate is continuing to bear fruit for businesses with many requiring additional office accommodation to facilitate their expansions.

Further contracts for Mencap’s ‘changing places’ initiative have also been awarded to Sandycroft. An innovative changing and toilet facility for disabled people was provided in the Potteries Shopping Centre car park in Stoke-on-Trent by Portable Offices a few years ago. The latest order will see a brick-built façade incorporated.

Mencap’s Changing Places campaign highlights the need for more purpose-built facilities for people with profound and multiple learning difficulties and others with serious impairments and physical disabilities.

Stoke-on-Trent had no facilities appropriate to the needs of the City’s disabled people who rely on carers to assist with toileting and changing.  As a result, the Council liaised with the charity to identify a suitable location and facilities to address the issue and Portable Offices Sandycroft provided the solution.

Manager Ian Smith commented: “Our reputation for quality of product and service is at the cornerstone of our sales strategy with repeat business and customer recommendations continuing to generate on-going business.

“It looks set to be a busy summer across all sectors of the marketplace. Long may it continue.”
