Portable Offices London depot wins the cream of the city

Just six months after its move to Luton and already the depot is forging ahead – winning new business in London and the Home Counties.

In fact, Luton depot servicing London has experienced its busiest six months in the last three years with greater orders and increased footfall despite the generally gloomy trading conditions.

Closer proximity to London city centre and the purpose-built nature of the site, are thought to be instrumental in the depot’s success.

The Luton team has banded together and developed a portable building portfolio, for which the new site provides an ideal shop window.

Combine this with Portable Offices’ enviable reputation for customer satisfaction and a quality product range and it is easy to see why the depot is enjoying such success.

When a local hospital was tasked with increasing its through-put of outpatient operations and three specialist Vanguard operating theatres were commissioned, the hospital contacted Portable Offices in Luton to link the units together by way of reception areas and toilets. Despite a tight timeframe, the Luton team pulled together the ultimate solution.

Another developing sector is that of education. Schools keen to expand without breaking the bank have also discovered the benefits of mobile classrooms which can be hired to fulfil short-term needs or incorporated as flexible permanent structures.

“Schools that need additional accommodation but can’t commit to a major capital expenditure project contact us,” says Manager, Neil Christie. “It’s no longer a foregone conclusion that their expansion needs will be met by the education authority, so temporary accommodation might be the ideal scenario.

“The benefits of our new site are paying dividends – the closer proximity to London and our ability to showcase our products are proving a real attraction to many new customers in both the public and private sectors.”

Already Luton is achieving acclaim and with a new year ahead and a new set of challenges, the team is gearing itself to build on the strong platform provided by its new situation and bring still more solutions to organisations’ expansion needs.
