Evolution at Sandycroft

Sandycroft depot has enjoyed a period of unprecedented growth. With Covid-related orders now on a back-burner, the operation is seeing a renaissance in orders from schools for classrooms to accommodate additional pupil places and from companies looking for cost-effective solutions to fund capital expenditure projects.

Most staff have now returned to the office and are handling increasing numbers of orders and enquiries from mainstream clients.

Operations Manager, Jemma Wilson, commented: “Although we still have many units out on hire to doctors’ surgeries and vaccination and testing centres, we are seeing larger numbers of commercial orders and enquiries come through.

“We are involved in the provision of extra classrooms for a school on the Wirral and have just provided a large, high spec 48’ office for a client in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.”

Enquiries and orders for sports and changing facilities led to a contract for a major, premier league football club.  The provision of sales and marketing suites for housebuilders has remained buoyant throughout the last few months and a high profile builder has installed a high end suite to market its latest prestigious development.

Meanwhile, the depot has recruited a new yard foreman. Mark Jones started the latest chapter of his building and construction career last month when he joined Portable Offices.

In his new role, he will provide direction and structure and streamline the yard operation; planning and implementing improved processes and ensuring the quality and integrity of the units.
