Derby Hits the Road Running…
Following an unprecedented year of rallying to provide NHS and Government contracts with units for testing and vaccination centres, Portable Offices’ team has now returned to the office and is back to fulfilling contracts for businesses.
Portable Offices’ Operations Manager, Bob Davies, commented:
“It has been a year like no other and we have been lucky to maintain a buzzing order book throughout the pandemic – able to assist in establishing Covid testing and vaccination centres along with GP’s surgeries and schools requiring additional space.
“Now, we are seeing an upsurge in demand from more of our usual business customer base looking to expand their premises and the normal orders for sales and marketing suites for house builders and cabins for logistics companies.
“Our team is delighted to be back in the office in a normal routine. I think that many have discovered that regular contact with their colleagues is vital for good mental health and well-being.”
Noteworthy contracts include a large seven bay modular building to provide a state-of-the-art headquarters for a scout group in Suffolk.
The yard team at Derby is making headway on a growing list of refurbishment projects.
“Our yard team is one of the busiest in the group – producing and refurbishing units for all of the other depots and paying incredible attention to detail. I often feel that our refurbished units look as good as new by the time they leave here.”
