Derby Distribution Hub

The Derby depot of Portable Offices is rapidly becoming renowned as the central distribution hub of the modular buildings? business with its increasing range of products and marketing suite displays of the latest portable buildings providing an ideal viewing platform for customers.

Plans are already underway at the operation for another open week during May as the depot gears itself for a re-run of the successful open invitation to customers to view a variety of display units.

The continued business drive at the depot has resulted in the introduction of a new member of staff, Jemma Jones as Operations Administrator. Jemma is working within the team to raise the bar on customer service ? improving systems and processes to optimise the operation?s maintenance response.

With extensive experience in training and customer services, Jemma is keen to develop the role and bring a new level of professionalism to the maintenance side of the business. She said: ?We have a great platform to build on and I?m sure the introduction of a few new systems will make a significant improvement to our rapid response team.?

Business Development Manager, Dean Dixon, commented? on Derby?s current status: ?Enquiries are on the up and with a number of contracts just completed, we are looking to capitalise on new opportunities arising specifically from the schools accommodation crisis which has already seen a great number of new nursery and primary school developments coming on stream and is likely to provide further opportunities this year.

?We have just successfully installed an extensive modular building for a major builder?s merchants group and are looking to develop this for other outlets within the group.

?We have also established two new modular buildings to provide a day centre for LOROS ? the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering. The new modular buildings have been incorporated within the hospice complex. This has provided a wonderful, warm, bright area for additional resource.?
