Portable Offices’ Luton depot has achieved considerable success over the past four years since moving to its present site closer to London. The team’s commitment to excellence in both product and service and efforts to exceed its customers’ expectations has led to the introduction of further new key staff members including a new depot manager.
Dannielle Williams joined the team in June as depot manager bringing considerable expertise and experience gained most recently with an industry competitor and prior to that, within the RAF where seamless logistics are paramount.
Dannielle is currently assessing the underlying processes beneath the sales operation and is streamlining systems and administration support to facilitate a quality evolution which will optimise time.
Her new appointment has allowed Neil Christie to focus on the sales side of the business.
Dannielle commented: “I am really enjoying my new position at Luton. One of my challenges has been winning hearts and minds so that they can buy into the new role and see the benefits first hand. It has been an ideal time to introduce new systems and processes which will benefit our team and customers.”
The depot is also investing in a new generation of young people with the appointment of Jack Hamil as apprentice carpenter. Jack, aged just 18, is gaining a skills base as well as providing back-up to the yard team.
With a continuing flow of high profile commercial buildings, schools contracts and the on-going requirements of a major car hire company, Luton is completing work on The Ahoy Centre – the company’s first third storey contract and is continuing to develop a new format for buildings at Brentwood Football Club and the BBC.
