Bristol depot scores with local football clubs

With the Euro UEFA 2016 tournament underway, you could be forgiven for thinking that football was the only thing on the minds of the team in the South West but their football aspirations were a little closer to home as they secured contracts with local clubs to help them expand their facilities.

For Bristol City Football Club, the four bay modular building provided will accommodate sports scientists who will monitor players and analyse physical stresses to ensure optimum player performance.

And, for Bristol Rovers FC, fully refurbished buildings to include floor to ceiling glazing to the front elevation for use as an administration office at their training HQ.

From football to the water; the team has just completed work on an unusual unit at nearby Portishead Marina which has been cedar clad and is sited on a pontoon on the water complete with portholes and floor to ceiling, glazed units to blend into an eclectic mix of marina styles that form part of the recreation of a Cornish fishing village.

The rental side of the business continues to buzz with a further order for administration space at another local football club and with the summer break upon us, a local school is expanding its pupil places with additional portable buildings to create a ‘school within a school.’

Housed within a large two-storey building – 21m x 9.6m to each floor, the new school building includes two standard classrooms, a fully fitted science lab, library, offices and a small kitchen. Work included all the ground works and providing a new large car park.

The end of the summer season will then see a period of refurbishment for Bristol depot as they receive a series of new offices complete with meeting rooms and washroom facilities kitted out to demonstrate the latest state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings synonymous with the latest cutting-edge portable buildings.

Manager, Dennis Gay, commented: “We continue to enjoy a positive trading climate and are responding to a variety of challenges, from the provision of a novel boat sales operation on a pontoon within a marina village to an instant school. We are all looking forward to our new accommodation which will not only provide us with comfortable new offices but will also provide an opportunity to showcase the latest building and fitting options in the marketplace.”
