As Covid demands recede, Portable Offices is meeting the more usual demand for expansion and development purposes with considerable interest and orders from housebuilders for marketing suites.
Manager, Becky Scholefield said: “We are all back in the office and our clients are seeing a return to something approaching normality with our clients’ business needs now focussing on expansions and development requirements.
“Orders for marketing suites for housebuilders are a mainstay of our current business mix with six builders placing orders over recent weeks to capitalise on the current housing boom.
“In addition, we have fulfilled orders to garden centres, tech companies, food production companies and two main contractors and a rail company. So, a real cross section of customers and some challenging installations.
“We recently handled the production and installation of a double stack 48’ high spec complex into Eurocell in Selby, and they were delighted with the extra space. Logistically quite challenging, but Daisy managed it perfectly and we have a very happy customer.”
The yard is continuing with the refurbishment of old units to create high quality products that look and feel as good as new.
Staff have been enjoying staycations this summer. Becky and her family secured tickets for the Euro’s final at Wembley. She said: “It was a fantastic experience, despite the result.”
