Over the past 2 weeks, Portable Offices?has installed a portable building on our site following a major incident. The incident has caused a lot of disruption to the school and 4 classes were left without their usual room which affects the children greatly. On top of this the school is awaiting OFSTED and this has created additional pressure. The past 2 weeks have also seen the worst of British weather with an unprecedented amount of rain, turning the site into what can only be described as a ‘mud slide’. With this scenario you can understand why I was apprehensive about the probable problems that would be encountered during the erection of the portable building on site.

The staff in your company has worked tirelessly over the past weeks to deliver a quality building to the agreed deadline. Ian was a tremendous help as he was informative, easy to access and clear in his directions and advice. He took the time to introduce his staff to me and to ensure that they and I knew what was to happen each day.

The staff who worked on the building were impressive in a number of ways. I was delighted at their good nature, sense of humour and understanding for our circumstances. They went out of their way to meet our needs and make our experience as stress free as possible. They were happy to oblige in one to requests that were above what was expected (the fitting of pegs in the cloakroom / the fitting of a board in classroom). In addition to this, I noted that on many occasions they worked well into the night and battled with the most awful of site and weather conditions.

On the day the building was craned into place, we were faced with the crane on our playground, 200 children being diverted through the main building and the PTA preparing for a bonfire display by building a bonfire on the field. This was potentially a nightmare situation. However, yet again, your staff understood this difficult situation and adapted to ensure that we could continue to function as normally as possible.

We are delighted with the portable building in every aspect, but perhaps more than this we are delighted at the excellent working relationship between your staff and my staff. It has been a pleasure to work with Portable Offices, and I hope that you will pass our warm thanks to all involved.
