New Start following Latest Lockdown in Leeds

Leeds office has remained busy throughout lockdown and now that employees are returning to their offices, firms are developing new ways of working to keep their staff safe. Many of these Covid precautions were introduced last summer and now, apart from the specific contracts booked for the NHS for vaccination and test stations, Portable Offices is meeting the usual demand for expansion and development purposes.

Manager, Becky Scholefield said: “We seem to be moving away from the Covid rush now and are providing units to companies that would need them anyway.

“Housebuilders are placing orders once again as sites re-open, with sales and marketing suites going out to five different customers this spring.

“A confectioner in York is replacing old cabins on site with our latest state-of-the-art refurbished cabins, a linked complex for East Riding is providing decant facilities whilst their offices are refurbished, a shower changer to Goole is because they’ve taken on additional staff on site.  Companies do seem to be returning to more normality now, and we’re there to support them through this stage.

“In addition, we are busy with modular orders providing classrooms, nurseries and offices to businesses that are expanding.”

More staff are back working in the office now, with each member of office staff working from home one day a week.  However, as soon as government restrictions ease, the team will be recalled fully and reunite.

On the family front, Yard Operative, Mark Taylor and his partner Natalie recently had twins, a boy called Brodie and a girl named Ella. He is currently on paternity leave while they become accustomed to being a family of four.

Becky concludes: “It has been a very challenging year for everyone so I would like to reinforce my thanks to our team for how well they have coped – working incredibly hard to keep up with the workload. As a result, we are emerging with a renewed vigour and the enquiries and orders are testament to that.”
