New manager at Portable Offices’ ‘new look’ Derby operation

This summer a ‘new look’ Derby operation opened the doors on its state-of-the-art offices and that was closely followed by an announcement by Dean Dixon, Regional Manager that he would be leaving after many years service with Portable Offices to join his family’s firm.

Now, we can announce the arrival of Daljit Sangha as the organisation’s new Regional Manager.

Daljit or Dal as he prefers to be called, has extensive experience in the portable buildings sector, gained most recently at one of Portable Offices’ main competitors. Dal is quickly finding his feet in his new role and is looking forward to making a significant contribution to Portable Offices’ continued growth pattern.

He said: “I was aware of Portable Offices’ growing reputation as a high quality provider of portable accommodation and am delighted to be part of such a motivated and reputable team. I am looking forward to taking the Derby operation forward and maximising the depot’s strengths.”

The Derby operation has enjoyed one of its most successful trading summers to date and business has continued to boom even into the usually quieter winter months with high profile orders from the commercial and retail sectors including a unit for Derby County Football Club’s youth academy which will provide gym and lecture facilities for young, aspiring footballers.  This involved the provision of a refurbished unit  been remodelled with floor to ceiling glazed units to give a light contemporary feel to the building.

Samantha Lawless commented on Derby’s current status:

“We have continued to receive orders from the education sector, motor dealerships and companies looking to expand their facilities. We have a large modular contract going out shortly to a company in Wednesbury to provide additional office space.  Again, it has floor to ceiling windows incorporated to provide a bright contemporary space. This is becoming an increasingly popular request from clients.”

Derby depot has enjoyed another successful year at the frontline of economic development and has continued to ensure seamless levels of customer attention and service.

On a family note, Sarah is currently on maternity leave and Jemma departs shortly to go on maternity leave.  Angela Nicholls and Joanne Beeny have joined the team to take on the operations role in the office.
