Luton Portable offices

Portable Offices’ Luton depot at Hatters Way Retail Park – one of the UK’s leading providers of portable buildings and cabins – has just completed a major redevelopment of its offices and yard facilities.
Established in Luton seven years ago, the operation is one of five Portable Offices’ outlets strategically placed around the UK and, thanks to the redevelopment, is now able to fully showcase the latest flagship modular buildings and cabins.

Larger offices by expanding our modular building

A new modular extension has been added to the side of the building adjacent to the main modular building to provide a state-of-the-art meeting room, With floor to ceiling windows on the front elevation to provide a light contemporary space, the building has been developed to demonstrate the versatility of portable buildings.
Luton Manager, Dannielle Williams, said: “Not only have we demonstrated the benefits and simplicity of expanding a modular building, but more importantly it illustrates how the lifecycle of a portable unit can be significantly extended and how spacious and comfortable these units are.
“The new areas have a contemporary façade and high spec interior with mood lighting and are designed to create a luxurious atmosphere.”
There is a seamless link into the reception area and with discreet lighting, carpeting and selected artwork which continues the interior theme into new areas. A new kitchen and breakout area completes the office development.
Outside, the yard team has benefited from a fully refurbished office, drying room and canteen. A car park with designated visitor spaces and a canopy over the front entrance has given the site instant ‘kerb appeal.’

Business increasing each year

With business increasing year on year, Luton office is already seeing the benefits of being able to showcase its products. Portable buildings are not only an attractive option for accommodating staff while capital building projects are underway, but are also proving a popular alternative means of expanding businesses and even providing extra schools places in the Luton community.
The ability to refurbish cabins and other portable buildings in the range means that they leave a minimal carbon footprint and can be a cost-effective alternative to traditional building methods.
The yard team at Luton has considerable experience and expertise in refurbishing the portable range and now, local customers can view first-hand the finished results.
Luton has experienced a considerable growth pattern, with demand from house builders for marketing suites, units to provide extra schools places, cabins to accommodate sales and admin staff at car dealerships while major refurbishment work is undertaken combined with their on-going commitments to nearby TV and film studios, a major US car rental firm and even football clubs.
Dannielle continues: “We now have 75% of stock at a ready or three day ready status, which means that potential customers no longer have to visualise the finished product, instead they can see the real thing.”
