Following the magical blaze of glory that marks the launch of the latest Harry Potter movie, Portable Offices – one of the UK’s leading providers of portable buildings and suppliers of portable accommodation to the Harry Potter movie premier – has relocated to Luton to a purpose-built site at Hatters Way Retail Park.
Keen to be situated close to their movie industry client, Warrior Productions at Shepperton Studios, Portable Offices’ new site will provide an ideal location to showcase the company’s growing array of portable buildings which include offices, classrooms, canteen facilities and a range of modular buildings to suit all types of temporary or semi-permanent accommodation needs.
Luton was the location favoured by the company in order to service the accommodation needs of the nearby movie studios and in view of the area’s excellent road, rail and air transport links and its commercial growth status which relies heavily on the supply of portable buildings to sustain its accommodation needs.
No longer an eye-sore, the former derelict brown field site at the back of the retail park which now houses Portable Offices, was regenerated to accommodate the company’s highly appointed Southern region offices together with an array of the latest portable buildings available for hire and purchase.
A team of seven comprising sales and hire staff, administration, contracts supervisor, operations foreman, apprentice electrician and yard operatives will be based at new newly manufactured suite of offices which are designed to demonstrate the versatility of portable buildings.
Manager, Neil Christie, said: “After six years at its Dunstable site, Portable Offices had outgrown its old site and made the decision to move closer to London to a large new retail site conveniently situated close to Warrior Productions’ Studios and the major motorway networks.”
Neil Grigson, director of Warrior Productions, said: “Portable Offices have a great team who are flexible in their approach and really accommodate our requirement for excellence of service and a speedy response. We are delighted they will be closer to Shepperton Studios and the M25 where most of our filming takes place.”
Neil Christie concludes: “We feel Luton will provide us with a superb platform for growth and hope to recruit new local staff to join our team and our specialist sub contractor support network.”
The team will service clients’ accommodation needs, continuing to provide a speedy, professional, turnkey service.
