Derby expansion continues

Portable Offices’ Derby operation is continuing its growth pattern with the introduction of a new member of the sales team.

Craig O’Regan has joined the team as Customer Account Manager Sales and is already making a significant contribution to the business.  Craig is focussing on building the customer base, following up new enquiries and preparing estimates.

In addition, he has brought along a whole new ‘high tech’ skills set with considerable experience in the electronics and computer technology industry gained over the last decade within the gadgets and accessories sector.

Craig said: “I am really enjoying my new position at Portable Offices. It is a great company and I feel very much part of the team here at Derby.  It’s been a rapid product learning curve but the intricacies of the contracts are becoming clear and it is all coming together.”

Business Development Manager, Dean Dixon, commented on Derby’s current status: “It’s been busy across the board with lots of enquiries from a diverse range of sectors. We’ve had considerable success within the motoring sector, primarily from dealership refurbishments.  But, we’ve also supplied a world leading motor manufacturer with units together with an international leading pharmaceutical company.

“In addition, we have been able to benefit from a great deal of repeat business. The Glensanda contract is a typical example. I think this project really highlights Portable Offices’ ability to operate within challenging areas. Not only was the environment hostile, but logistically, shipping out the cabins to a remote area of the Scottish peninsula required some considerable organisation.”

Derby’s distribution hub is also the focus of a building expansion plan as it awaits planning permission to develop and extend on to new land.
