Celebrating Success: A Year of Growth, Innovation, and Teamwork

As we reflect on the past year, a huge thank you goes out to every member of the Portable Offices team. Your hard work, resilience, and dedication have been vital in helping us move forward in what has been an ever-changing and cautious market. By sticking to what we do best, delivering high-quality portable accommodation tailored to our customers’ needs, we’ve maintained our position as a trusted, reliable partner. At the same time, we’ve continued to invest in our people, infrastructure, and technology to build a stronger future for us all.

Redeveloping Our Depots
This year has seen major improvements to our facilities, ensuring we can showcase the best of what portable buildings have to offer. At Sandycroft, the redevelopment of our headquarters demonstrates how modern portable buildings can combine sophistication with energy efficiency. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand how cutting-edge technology can make a real difference to building performance.

At our Luton depot, we resurfaced most of the yard, creating a pristine, professional platform for stock and providing a more welcoming space for visitors. These upgrades help us operate more efficiently and leave a lasting impression on customers.

Expanding Our Fleet and Going Greener
To continue meeting the needs of our customers across the UK, we’ve invested in expanding and upgrading our vehicle fleet. A brand-new 70-tonne Volvo lorry has been added to help us deliver units more efficiently nationwide.

We’ve also taken steps to reduce our environmental impact. Hybrid and electric vehicles have been introduced into our fleet, and electric vehicle charging points are now installed at 80% of our locations. These improvements reflect our commitment to operating sustainably while keeping up with the evolving needs of our clients.

Supporting Our People
At Portable Offices, our people are our greatest asset, and investing in their well-being has remained a top priority this year. We’ve modernised employee contracts to include enhanced holiday entitlement, salary sacrifice schemes, and a flexible working approach to help balance work and life.

To further support the team, we introduced the Employee Assistance Programme. This third-party service provides confidential advice on everything from mental health and family issues to financial guidance. We’ve also appointed two mental health first-aiders – Clare Sherlock in HR and Jenny Worthington at our Derby depot – ensuring there’s always someone to talk to when support is needed.

Celebrating Long-Standing Team Members
This year, we’re proud to celebrate two incredible milestones. Both Dan Maddox and Ian Smith marked 20 years with Portable Offices. Their dedication, expertise, and commitment have been a huge part of our journey, and we’re incredibly grateful for their hard work and contributions over the years.

Award-Winning Projects
We’re thrilled to have been recognised at the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Awards by a group of industry leading judges with the award for Best Temporary Building Project. This accolade was for our outstanding work at SS Simon & Jude CE Primary School, which was devastated by fire.

In just 14 weeks, our team delivered:

• 19 primary school classrooms
• 4 nursery classrooms
• 4 toilet blocks
• A dining hall and office building

This project reflects our commitment to putting clients’ needs first and exceeding expectations, even under tight timelines.

Introducing the Signature Range
To meet the growing demand for high-spec solutions, we’ve launched the Signature Range. This premium collection features luxury office spaces, break rooms, and meeting rooms, designed with calming interiors and state-of-the-art facilities. The Signature Range blends comfort, functionality, and style, showcasing what’s possible in modern portable building design.
