An Urgent Requirement

The school urgently needed temporary classrooms for students and office space for staff. Richard Hall, the Site Manager, recognised the magnitude of the situation and initiated the process to find a swift solution. He reached out to three providers of mobile units to assess and quote on the project, one of which was Portable Offices.

Richard Hall recalled the impact of the water leak, saying:
“Our school was devastated by the loss of its classrooms and offices. We essentially lost the use of almost a third of our main facilities.” The disruption caused by this loss was immense, affecting both students and staff.

‘Can Do’ Attitude

“From the moment the team from Portable Offices arrived on site, they stood head and shoulders above the competition – it was like a well-oiled machine; with the guys assessing the project and where the units could be situated.”

Portable Offices went beyond providing solutions for the current problem; they also considered existing challenges. This cost-effective approach showcased their dedication to understanding the school’s needs.

Seamless Execution

Richard continued to express his satisfaction:
“The whole process went like clockwork. I can’t fault them. They took care of everything at every step of the way, from planning to installation. The installation was during the summer holidays when there were few staff around and could have been stressful, but instead they shouldered all of the pressures and made it a seamless process.”

“
The buildings are ideal, and we really felt as though we had been really well looked after. The team’s ‘can do’ attitude made all the difference.

Conclusion

The project involved the provision of a five-bay modular building, seven 32×10 units, and a 10×10 unit to create three classrooms, three offices, a storage room, and a toilet block.

The ability to overcome adversity, combined with the dedication and solutions provided by Portable Offices, ensured that students and staff had the facilities they needed to continue their educational journey.
