Derby Getting Ready for School…

The school summer holidays bring increased classroom activity at Derby.

It is currently ‘classroom mania’ at the Derby office as the yard team works tirelessly on nine classroom buildings for its own contracts and other depots around the UK, getting them ready for the new school year ahead.

The latest modular classroom contracts are primarily for additional pupil places at schools all around the country.

Portable Offices’ Operations Manager, Bob Davies, commented:

“We are very busy fulfilling education contracts to ensure that the classrooms are in place for the new school term in September. These include refurbished, and new modular buildings and will provide clean, comfortable, contemporary accommodation for pupils.”

In addition to this, the yard is working hard on the new offices and canteen buildings for its own team at the purpose-built site for our new Derby Depot, which will still be located on Woodyard Lane.

Bob explains: “With all the groundworks completed and most of the landscaping underway, we are scheduled to move to the new home of our Derby Depot by the end of September.

“I am delighted to report that our new office will highlight the latest state-of-the-art portable building available – demonstrating what can be achieved with cutting edge techniques and showcasing opportunities for our customers too.”

The Derby Office’s newest recruit, Hardev Grewal, is also settling in well following his first few months since joining the sales team as Customer Account Manager.
