High-Flying Achievements and New Beginnings…
At our Bristol Depot, we’ve had an exciting few months filled with high-profile projects, staff changes, and remarkable personal achievements. Here’s a quick round-up of our recent activities and successes.
Bristol Office Clear for Take-Off
One of our standout projects involved working with Cornwall Airport, where we installed a modular building and a walking canopy for passengers. This high-profile contract demonstrates our capability to handle complex and critical installations, enhancing passenger experience at the airport.
Sales and Marketing Suites for Housebuilders
In addition to our work with Cornwall Airport, we’ve been busy fulfilling regular contracts for sales and marketing suites for major housebuilders across the South West. Our team continues to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions that support the growing housing market in the region.
SpringWatch on the Small Screen
We also made our mark on television by providing a 20’ unit for this year’s SpringWatch series. Our unit served as a crucial facility for the production crew, showcasing our versatility in meeting the diverse needs of our clients, even in the entertainment industry.
Staff Changes and Promotions
Our depot has seen several staff changes recently. Luke Turner, formerly a Yard Operative, has been promoted to Yard Foreman. Luke’s promotion is a testament to his hard work and the new procedures he implemented to streamline our yard processes. Paul Cannon has joined our team as a Yard Operative, stepping into Luke’s previous role.
Charitable Achievements
In a thrilling display of bravery and generosity, Luke Turner took a huge leap for charity by participating in a parachute jump from 10,000 feet in aid of Alzheimer’s UK. Luke’s tandem jump raised over £900 for the charity, highlighting his dedication to making a positive impact both at work and in the community.
Depot Operations Manager, Justin Hardwell, commented, “Luke has proven to be a valuable asset in the yard, and we are delighted to see him moving up the ranks. We are incredibly proud of his charitable achievement, and with more units coming to Bristol for refurbishment, we will have an ever-growing need for his skills.”
Welcoming New Team Members
Our team is also growing with the addition of Madeleine Hepburn, who joined us in March to cover a new full-time position in depot operations. Madeleine will be covering for Blair Griffin during her maternity leave. Blair welcomed a new baby boy, Carter, in May, and we look forward to Madeleine working alongside her upon her return.
Farewell to a Long-Standing Team Member
After over 10 years of dedicated service, Kate Kirk has decided to explore new challenges. Kate has been an integral member of our team, and while we are sad to see her go, we wish her every success in her new venture.
