Case Study | Fressingfield Scout Group | New Headquarters…

Fressingfield Scout Group – one of the oldest surviving scout groups in the country – has recently moved into a purpose-built headquarters in Fressingfield.

The Scout group, which was founded in 1908, was gifted an acre of land and has established a warm and welcoming hall, training room, wash room and toilet facilities and first aid area thanks to a series of modular buildings provided by Portable Offices.

The group previously held meetings and training sessions in the local village hall, but this was restrictive in terms of space and facilities.

The gift of the land was the precursor to a period of fundraising which led to the purchase of the modular buildings which would provide bespoke meeting and training areas for the youngsters.

Treasurer, John Coop, commented: “We now have state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate our 150 or so children and teenagers.

“Portable Offices were very responsive. We did have a few snags but there was never any reluctance on their part to resolve any issues.

“We are very happy with the final result. Portable Offices were great and we are looking forward to many years in our new headquarters.”
