About us

Portable Offices (Hire) Limited is a supplier both for purchase and rental of high class office accommodation, high security steel stores, anti vandal units, classrooms, canteens and toilet units.  We also supply a range of office and canteen furniture.

Units can be linked and partitioned to form a variety of office layouts or double stacked with a stairway

Validity

This quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this time we reserve the right to review the quote

Quotations

Second hand sale quotations are subject to availability

We require a purchase order or faxed confirmation from our customer before delivery of any unit

Payment Terms

Payment terms for new sale we ask for 20% deposit with official order, remaining balance payable on invoice. Payment terms for second hand sale we ask for payment before or on delivery.

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT chargeable at rate ruling

Delivery

Delivery on new units is normally 4-6 weeks from receipt of order depending on the unit.  Delivery on second hand units is as agreed at time of placing official order.

Guarantee New Units

Portable Offices (Hire) Ltd guarantee its new cabins for 12 months to the original buyer, against defective materials and workmanship but is subject to certain

conditions. Guarantee covers materials and labour only, Portable Offices (Hire) Limited own staff must carry out all work The cabin must be sited level, on suitable foundations Guarantee does not cover misuse, negligence, vandalism or fair wear and tear Portable Office (Hire) Limited cannot be held responsible for any damage to the contents of the cabin, damage to other cabins, or their contents, or any other consequential loss or damage whether caused by failure of the cabin or by a fault in the cabin or by Portable Offices (Hire) Limited employees or their agents, their tools or their vehicles.

Second hand sale units do not come with warranties unless otherwise stated in our quotation

Insurance

Once building is on site it is the responsibility of the customer to insure the building.

Transport

The customer is to provide clear and unrestricted access for driver to off load.  Any standing time incurred will be charged to the customer

If delivery is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances over which we have no control, we cannot be held responsible for any extra costs incurred

Sales Exclusions

Foundations, site preparation, connection to incoming services, delivery, craneage, drainage, ramps, steps, pathways, staircases, gantries, covered walkways, planning/building application fees, fire alarm systems, smoke-detection, disabled w.c. facilities, external skirting.  Any additional works or alterations caused by Building Control, Fire and environmental Health Offices or Local Authority regulations.  Unless otherwise quoted for.

Craneage

The ground on which the crane travels to the position which it is to set up to off load and position the unit can sometimes be very unstable. Tarmac, grassed and paved areas are most at risk of damage by the weight of the crane. We cannot accept any liability for this type of damage.

Regulations

It is necessary for you the customer, to apply for planning and building regulation permission with fire officer approval before we deliver the unit.  It may also be necessary to comply with Construction Regulations 1994.  Portable Offices (Hire) Limited will be happy to advise you on these regulations
